Known problems in versions 12 & 24/25 and their solutions

Display problems in GRAFIS 25
GRAFIS 25.0 uses a new graphics output for all lines, points, texts and dimensions. This output can lead to problems on some devices, which are usually caused by faulty driver versions of the relevant graphics cards for Windows.
In detail, the following are affected so far:
- Windows 10 or 11 on computers with Intel Core i7 and i9 CPUs of the "Ultra" series
- Windows 11 running in Parallels on Mac computers
Symptoms can be:
- Incomplete display of the left pieces bar, fields remain empty or are displayed incompletely
- Line objects on the main window seem to freeze; Grafis remains operable, but no objects or changes are displayed
Starting with Grafis 25.0 Release 33, the new option "SmartView: Transfer display as bitmap" is available in the Grafis programme settings, tab "Options". If it is activated, it usually solves the above-mentioned problem.
Long start-up time of GRAFIS 24/25 with Parallels on M1/M2 or M3 Macintosh
If GRAFIS is to be used under Parallels running on a Mac with M1/M2 or M3 chip, very long start-up times can occur. Up to 30 seconds have been measured. If you are experiencing this problem, please contact our support team by email or telephone. You will then receive a customised version from us that starts much faster.
Problem with Version 12 Release 45
In GRAFIS V12.00 Rel. 45 a tiny GRAFIS.INI file may be created in the current measurement system. This file is not allowed in this place. Currently known is only one reason: the interactive mode with its function "Auto Zoom" in context menu. When this GRAFIS.INI file exists, after a restart the GRAFIS window will show no more function buttons but the old text menu instead. But also other problems may occur, e.g. missing basic blocks or symbols, plotter/printer problems or similar.
To solve this issue this damaged GRAFIS.INI file in the measurement system has to be deleted and GRAFIS needs a restart. With V12.00 Rel. 46 this issue is solved and these wrong GRAFIS.INI files will be deleted automatically when they exist.
